Hi, I’m Sarah (she/her).
I’m a writer, a mom, and media scholar (lapsed) and my day job is in administration, programs, and communications for a small Unitarian Universalist church.
The blog: Watching High School
While pursuing my MA in Media Studies, I had a lot of ideas swirling, and needed a place to let them out. I wrote my MA thesis about teen drama television, which means I spent two years researching (watching) popular television. Listen, lots of thoughts didn’t make it into that thesis, so this is where they went instead! (This is also why the majority of posts are from the early-mid 2010s.)
The rest
These days I spend a lot of my writing time working away on a novel that at this rate might never be finished. I doodle comics because most of the time, funny one-liners don’t make good text anecdotes!
